Arsenic causes diseases like cancer of intestines, liver, kidneys and the bladder as well as gangrene.

An official said the worst-affected districts were Bhojpur, Buxar, Vaishali, Bhagalpur, Samastipur, Khagaria, Katihar, Chapra, Munger and Darbhanga.
