Storyline : Set in a fictional town Endora, the story revolves around Gilbert Grape (Johnny depp) and his mentally challenged younger brother Arnie (Leonardo DiCaprio). Johnny Depp is a depressed young man who struggles to cope with the responsibilities thrust upon him, which involves taking care of his obese mother, his mentally challenged brother and providing his family's daily needs. While struggling with his life, Gilbert comes across Becky- a charming young lady, who stays with her grandmother in Endora. Becky’s arrival into Gilberts life has a positive impact on him and it helps him find hope and rediscover the happiness he was looking for.
