Storyline : The film The Hours revolves around three women and the films screenplay is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by the same name. The three main characters of the film are taken from three different generations and it is Virginia Woolf's novel, Mrs. Dalloway that interconnects all their lives. The film is a journey that shows these three women trying to find meaning for their lives. In the film, one of the characters is Virginia Woolf herself and the role is performed by Nicole Kidman.
