Storyline : The story revolves around retired Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade (Al Pacino), who is blind, an alcoholic and hard to handle because of his tough nature. Unfortunately Charlie, a college student who is looking for part time job, ends up finding a job that primarily involves taking care of Frank. Frank takes Charlie on an adventure to New York, where they spend money and have fun in style. Frank takes a liking to Charlie while in New York and their friendship in the end turns’ out to be a life changing experience for them both .
