Storyline : Donnie Darko has problems getting along with his family, teachers and classmates but he has a sympathetic friend Gretchen who agrees to date him. His compassionate psychiatrist discovers hypnosis can unlock hidden secrets. Donnie has a friend named Frank - a large bunny, which is visible only to Ronnie. When a plane's engine falls off a plane and destroys his bedroom, Donnie is not there and escapes due to some supernatural power. Donnie's mental illness, if such it is, will never allow him to find out.
