Storyline : Awake is a movie that should not be watched for its star cast or box office review but for the story that brings out the gory malpractice of some doctors. Hayden Christensen the lead star and the narrator of the story is under a condition called Anesthesia Awareness during a heart transplant, lying in an operation theatre medically and hygienically compromised. While Hayden is lying stiff on the operation table and his body is immovable, he can hear conversations going on between the medical staff in the operation theatre. That’s when Hayden realizes that his girl friend Jessica Alba was the master mind behind the entire scam trying to act as the caring partner and convincing him to get his heart transplant done in a hospital under the supervision of a surgeon, Terrence Howard, whose medical license was under investigation for suspicions of fraud. With the sterility of the operation room and equipments compromised, fighting for life, Hayden fills in the blank- the entire web was sewn to grab the massive wealth he owned. The movie is ultimately for those responsible for paying medical malpractice premiums and the precautionary measures one can take to avoid getting duped.
