The professionals attending ENDO 2013 were in a frenzy over a presentation done by researchers from Duke University on bazedoxifene, a drug used in Europe for the treatment of osteoporosis that has now been shown to stop the growth of cancer cells in estrogen-related breast cancer. It's easy to see why this would be big news at an endocrinology conference.
