LOS ANGELES, Feb. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CLARE Foundation will host the 3rd Annual Forum on the State of Addiction, focusing on "Women in Recovery". Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Laurel Rosen, will moderate the panel of experts. Panelists include LA County Public Defender Nancy Richards Chand, UCLA Professor Christine Grella, New York Times Bestselling Author Sarah Hepola, and April Wilson, VP of Integration at Prototypes. The annual event gathers leading voices from the recovery community sharing their knowledge about the latest findings in the field.

Laurel Rosen is the President of Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce and created the Organization of Women Leaders (OWL) and partnered with the Commission on the Status of Women to produce the International Women's Day Breakfast.

Panelists:

  • Nancy Richards Chand: Attorney for LA County Public Defender and part of treatment collaborations designed to divert children and adults away from the criminal justice system including 2nd Chance Women's Re-Entry Court, Public HALO, Project YOUTH EMBRACE and Project STAR.
  • Christine Grella: Medical Advisor to CLARE, UCLA Professor, and Co-Director of the UCLA Integrated Substance Abuse Programs. Grella serves on numerous advisory boards in the area of substance abuse and mental health treatment.
  • Sarah Hepola: Bestselling author of, "Blackout: Remembering the Things I Drank to Forget." Hepola will conduct a writing workshop at CLARE.
  • April Wilson: VP of Integration at Prototypes. Having joined Prototypes in 1991, Wilson has developed many areas at the treatment center having previously been Director of the Pomona Women's Center and Vice President of Mother and Child Residential Programs.
