Ms. Carmichael brings to Watson more than 25 years of human resourcesexperience within the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and financeindustries, with particular focus in the areas of global human resourcesstrategy, integrations, leadership development and driving high-performance,cultural change initiatives. As Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Ms.Carmichael will be responsible for all of the Company's human resourcesstrategies and operations and will play a key role in supporting Watson as itevolves into a globally dynamic competitor. She will report directly to PaulBisaro, Watson's President and Chief Executive Officer.

Ms. Carmichael joins Watson following her position as Vice President,Global Human Resources for the Schering-Plough Research Institute, where shesuccessfully led the transition of their Research and Development operationfrom a domestic organization to a global organization of 8,000 R&Dprofessionals worldwide following the merger with Organon Biosciences.Previously, Ms. Carmichael was Vice President, Human Resources for EyetechPharmaceuticals Inc., serving as the lead human resources executive for theinnovative biopharmaceutical company as it moved to post-IPO and commercialphases of development. Ms. Carmichael also had human resources leadershipresponsibility for the U.S. Pharmaceutical business at Pharmacia Corporation.Prior to her pharmaceutical experience, Ms. Carmichael was Senior VicePresident, Human Resources at The CIT Group, Inc.
Ms. Carmichael received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from RiderUniversity, New Jersey, has completed the University of Michigan HumanResources Executive Program, and holds numerous professional certifications.
