FREMONT, Calif., June 9 WaferGen Biosystems,Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: WGBS), a leading developer of state-of-the-art geneexpression, genotyping, cell biology and stem cell research systems, todayannounced that Kumar Kastury, Ph.D., vice president of assay development, willprovide a poster presentation on its SmartChip(TM) Real-Time PCR System at theCambridge Healthcare Institute's Ninth Annual Beyond Genome conference. Theconference will be held June 8-11, 2008, at the Fairmont Hotel in SanFrancisco.

WaferGen's poster presentation will be available on Wednesday, June 11thfrom 9:50 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The presentation will include an overview ofthe company's novel whole genome, high-throughput SmartChip Real-Time PCRSystem, as well as data related to 100nL real-time PCR gene expression. TheSmartChip Real-Time PCR System can perform tens of thousands of nano-scalequantitative PCR (qPCR) assays in a single run, combining the screeningthroughput of microarrays with the sensitivity of qPCR in a single step.
