Verizon Welcomes Celebrity Trainer Bob Harper on May 18 in Recognition of Employee Health & Fitness Day
ASHBURN, Va. – Verizon, in partnership with health care benefits provider Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, will mark national Employee Health & Fitness Day by hosting fitness expert Bob Harper from the NBC hit show "The Biggest Loser" at a town hall-style meeting with Verizon employees on May 18. The event, which is designed to promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, will emphasize the importance of physical activity, healthy nutrition, preventive care and Verizon's wellness-screening initiatives.
WHO: Fitness trainer Bob Harper will join Martha Delehanty, Verizon senior vice president of human resources, for this special wellness event for all employees.
WHEN: The town hall will be held on May 18 from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by exercise demonstrations and employee meet-and-greets in the campus Fitness Center from 12:10 p.m. to 1 p.m. Media are asked to check in at the main lobby starting at 10:30 a.m.
