Fixodent recently surveyed women ages 40 and older to find out how women with dentures feel about themselves compared to women without dentures. The survey, "Fixodent Beauty & Aging," found that denture wearers place more importance on their smile than the average woman over 40. They believe this is the first thing others notice about them, and the idea of getting dentures was a source of anxiety for most wearers before they got dentures. To help ease this anxiety, Fixodent has joined forces with Dental expert Dr. Lawrence Brecht; Lifestyle/Nutrition expert Elizabeth Somer, M.A., R.D.; and Beauty expert Lois Joy Johnson, to provide women with insights to help them feel confident with their new smiles.
The Fixodent Circle of Confidence, which is available on Dentureliving.com, helps restore confidence in new denture wearers through information that helps them educate and empower themselves to experience life, not dentures. Information included on Dentureliving.com includes expert tips and answers to a variety of questions and concerns for denture wearers from: "How will dentures affect the way I eat?" to "What beauty products will help me best accentuate my new smile?" Additional information on the site includes educational articles, helpful links and a message board where women with dentures can reach out to each other for support and advice. Findings from the Fixodent Beauty & Aging survey strongly suggest that many denture wearers might get a confidence boost from tips and tools on dental care, beauty and overall health.
