The district partnered with DigitalBridge(SM) of Orem, Utah, to developDigitalSAMS(TM), Student Achievement Management System, an innovative softwaresolution focused on aggregating both historical and current information aroundan individual student, allowing educators to inform individual instruction toimprove a student's academic achievement.

Provo, Utah School District is the most recent Utah school district toadopt DigitalBridge's DigitalSAMS solution. Today five school districts useDigitalSAMS and another nine districts, a total of 14 of 40 Utah schooldistricts, have signed up to use this revolutionary software solution. Thesolution allows educators, students, parents, administrators, and policymakers to gather, access, act on, share, and protect individual studentachievement information. Educators can view information such as grades, attendance records, test scores, and formative assessment data for anindividual student from a variety of different sources with point-and-clicksimplicity.

The power behind DigitalSAMS is the DigitalFusion(TM) Platform Solution'sability to gather data from multiple data sources and structures, regardlessof the platform or format, and display the data aggregated around anindividual student profile. DigitalSAMS shares protected information acrossmultiple databases and agencies while protecting the security, privacy, andintegrity of individual student information based on policy rules implementedat the district level. "DigitalSAMS solves one of the most persistent problemsplaguing our educators: the ability to access comprehensive, individualizedstudent information in real-time to ensure timely intervention when a studentneeds help," said Jim Johnson, Superintendent of the Iron County SchoolDistrict.

DigitalSAMS is deployed over existing legacy systems, eliminating the needto rip and replace those systems. This approach preserves and extends the lifeof prior investments made by school districts, while dramatically improvingaccess to the individual student information required to improve academicperformance.

Superintendent Terry Shoemaker of the Wasatch School District located inHeber City, Utah, is a strong proponent: "DigitalSAMS is the first solution wehave found that enables us to gather complete information for an individualstudent and display that information to educators, administrators, and parentsto help improve the student's performance."

Terry Pitts, President and CEO of DigitalBridge, stated, "We are honoredto work with our representatives in Washington, D.C., and Utah schoolofficials to provide the next generation of student achievement managementtools for the benefit of Utah's children."
