Two Classic Fund-raisers Benefit Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital Spine Program

DETROIT, Aug. 20 Henry Ford has paired two classic events into one unique wine-themed evening benefiting spine research and programs at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital.

RARE! and Vin Voyage will be held Friday, August 27. Michigan's Master Sommeliers Madeline Triffon, M.S., and Claydia Tyagi, M.S., will share their expertise in wine at both events.

At RARE!, serious fine wine enthusiasts can experience an eclectic collection of the world's rare wines paired with a gourmet strolling dinner provided by the creative culinary team led by Matt Prentice at the luxurious Coach Insignia, in the GM Renaissance Center. The event will celebrate a line-up of local, national and international wines to excite the palate of the most seasoned wine aficionado.

RARE! will be held from 6:30-11 p.m. Tickets for RARE! are $500. A $1,000 a person ticket is also available and includes an overnight stay at the Detroit Marriott at the GM Renaissance Center.

Vin Voyage, held in the GM Renaissance Center's Wintergarden, will feature a strolling wine-tasting and dinner with food and wine pairings provided by the Matt Prentice Restaurant Group. Wine lovers will enjoy this fun-filled event celebrating wine and food cultures both locally and from around the world. This larger, less-formal event is designed to take wine lovers of all levels on an adventure in food and wine.

Vin Voyage will be held from 7-11 p.m. Tickets are $150 per person or $250 per couple.

Event Co-chairs for the paired events are Debbie and Michael Berger of West Bloomfield, Julia and Carl Camden of Bloomfield Hills, and Elspeth and Gerard van Grinsven of Franklin.

Attendees for both events must be 21 or older. Tickets can be purchased at www.henryford.com/wine.

Proceeds from both events will support the Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital's Multidisciplinary Spine Program, which provides patients the combined expertise of neurosurgery and orthopaedic spine surgery to treat all disorders of the spine and spinal cord, and traumatic injury to the spine and brain. Henry Ford's multidisciplinary team performs state-of-the-art diagnostic studies and medical, interventional, and surgical services, with an emphasis on minimally invasive surgery and complex spine reconstruction techniques.
