Turner Selected by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to Manage Construction of 311,000 Sq. Ft. Office Facility Adjacent to CDC Headquarters in Atlanta, GA

NEW YORK, July 17 Turner Construction Company, the nation's leading general builder, has been selected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to provide design/build services for a $93 Million, 311,000 sq. ft. office complex. The project, "Building 24" is adjacent to the CDC's headquarters in Atlanta, Ga.

Building 24 is targeted to achieve a LEED Gold Certification from the United States Green Building Council. Among the green building strategies Building 24 will employ are maximizing natural light and utilizing low-emitting paints and flooring materials.

The scope of work also includes careful phasing, staging and logistics to provide high levels of security and minimal disruption to ongoing operations on the CDC campus.
