SAN DIEGO, April 15 TriLink BioTechnologies, Inc. (TriLink) announced that it has signed an agreement with ETS Laboratories (ETS) to supply CleanAmp(TM) dNTPs for use in their Scorpions(TM) Wine Spoilage Detection System. These multiplex assays amplify genetic markers specific to each type of spoilage organism, detecting and quantifying microbial populations quickly. This gives wine producers the ability to identify potential spoilage organisms before they can have a negative impact on the wine.

CleanAmp(TM) dNTPs offered ETS a universal approach to improved Hot Start PCR. ETS obtained the same advantages as more costly Hot Start enzymes by replacing the standard dNTPs in their assays with CleanAmp(TM) dNTPs.

"CleanAmp(TM) dNTPs used with native Taq polymerase perform to specification in our demanding multiplex Scorpions(TM) assays. We get the same performance at a substantial cost savings," said Richard DeScenzo, Microbiology Group Leader for ETS.

"We are proud to have made a key contribution to ETS Labs' exciting new technology," said TriLink CEO, Dr. Richard Hogrefe.
