Three Palm Software Receives FDA 510(k) Clearance for Its WorkstationOne(TM) Breast Imaging Workstation

LOS GATOS, Calif., Dec. 31 Three Palm Software LLC of LosGatos, California today announced that it has received 510(k) clearance fromthe U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its WorkstationOne(TM) BreastImaging Workstation. WorkstationOne is intended for softcopy reading andinterpretation of digital mammography images, and was developed with the goalof assisting radiologists to read digital mammograms efficiently.

WorkstationOne incorporates expert viewing methodology, including Tabar'ssystematic viewing technique for searching for subtle abnormalities on themammograms. "WorkstationOne's unique reading protocol provides a veryefficient environment for reading digital mammography exams," said Dr. LaszloTabar, Professor of Radiology at the School of Medicine, University ofUppsala, Sweden. "It is critical to be able to read the ever increasingnumber of digital mammography examinations in an efficient and effectivemanner and WorkstationOne helps the radiologist accomplish this goal."

WorkstationOne supports IHE integration profiles and the display of CADmarkers. The workstation is a software system that can be installed on anoff-the-shelf general purpose computer with one or two gray scale highresolution monitors and one color monitor.
