Thomson Reuters Opens Baltimore Office to Support Federal Healthcare Customers

ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Thomson Reuters has opened a new office outside Baltimore to accommodate the growth of its business with federal healthcare customers.

The company has added nearly 100 employees to its federal government team in recent years. More than 25 will be based in the new office, located at 7106 Ambassador Road in Woodlawn, Maryland.

"We've worked with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for more than 20 years," said Jon Newpol, executive vice president for the Healthcare & Science business of Thomson Reuters. "It's gratifying to see our involvement with CMS and other federal agencies grow. This new office, which is one mile from CMS, gives us a local presence that enables us to be even more attentive and responsive to these important clients."

Jean MacQuarrie, vice president of client services, heads up the new office. Thomson Reuters provides software, data, and consulting services for Medicare and Medicaid projects for CMS and CMS contractors in support of program integrity, decision support, and research initiatives. Other federal agency customers include the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institutes of Health, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and the Health and Human Services Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation.
