"Feed The Children is grateful to be the recipient of donations earned by The Vitality Group's members," said Tony Sellars, director of communications, Feed The Children. "By working to take care of their own health, Vitality members are also helping to put food on the table for many families that would otherwise go without."

Vitality offers a personalized set of activities and goals to assist employees in improving their health. The program tracks and rewards more than 30 health-related activities including exercising, achieving health goals such as losing weight or stopping smoking, receiving routine preventive care, such as a prostate exam or mammogram, and participating in health education programs. Members are incentivized for their participation throughout the program and earn Vitality Bucks, redeemable for merchandise on the Vitality Mall which now includes the Vitality charity storefront.

"The key to a successful wellness program is motivating people to act and keeping them committed, and we're finding that philanthropy does indeed inspire engagement," said Arthur C. Carlos, CEO of The Vitality Group. "By appealing to our members who desire to contribute to the greater good, the Vitality charity option is another inventive way we are working to encourage individuals to commit to a wellness program."
