SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich., Dec. 29 A free seminar on "TheSecret to Beautiful Vein Free Legs" will be held in Shelby Township, Michiganon January 20, 2009 at 8180 26 Mile Road, Shelby Township, MI.
This seminar will review modern non-surgical treatments for varicoseveins. Many people with varicose veins have leg cramps, heaviness, fatigue, and even Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS), in addition to cosmetic concerns. Thesesymptoms often cause people to become inactive which can lead to other moreserious illnesses as well as obesity.
"I stand a lot throughout the day. As a result of my varicose veins, during my drive home from work my legs would start to hurt, feel tired andcramp up," says Vickie, a local school teacher. She had her veins treated, and no longer has leg pain.
"The pain from my varicose veins was waking me up at night and the onlyway to get back to sleep was to take a pain reliever to dull the pain," saysJo, one of Dr. Mok's patients. "Now I can sleep through the night and Icouldn't be happier."
People frequently think they have to suffer with varicose veins or undergorisky surgery. Now they have another option. Dr. Mok will review the latesttreatments that include endovenous lasers (EVLT, EVLA, CTEV, and others) aswell as radiofrequency (VNUS Closure), both of which treat the cause ofvaricose veins.
Dr. Charles Mok of The Vein Center at Allure Medical Spa will review theevolution of treatments for varicose veins. Also covered will be the commoncauses, heredity factors, and characteristics of these vein syndromes. "Mostpeople think of varicose veins as purely a cosmetic problem. In our practice,we find most of our patients just want to feel better, and if they look betteras a result, great," says Dr. Mok.
Dr. Brett Kotlus, also of Allure Medical Spa, will speak aboutcomplementing procedures that go along with vein free legs, such as cellulitetreatment, laser hair reduction, and skin concerns.
