FRAMINGHAM, Mass., June 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Princeton Review today announced that it has joined forces with Union Plus—the AFL-CIO's benefits program serving over 13 million members—to launch an initiative focused on delivering college readiness educational services. Beginning in August 2010, the program will offer a series of undergraduate and graduate products and services to union members—and their families—who are interested in pursuing a higher education degree.

"We are proud to announce this alliance and believe it perfectly aligns with The Princeton Review's mission of helping each individual advance their pursuit of higher education," said Scott Kirkpatrick, President of the Test Preparation and Admissions Services division at The Princeton Review. "Union Plus has been successful in helping working families pay for college through their scholarship programs. This new program will compliment that effort by helping students get into college or graduate school through access to our products and services."

Kirkpatrick noted that a recent survey of union members revealed that half of the respondents indicated they were interested in having access to college readiness and application resources. Additionally, over 40 percent stated specifically that they wanted college test preparation services.

"Union members have said they want help with the rising costs of college," said Leslie Tolf, President of Union Plus. "Our relationship with The Princeton Review will also give union members access to the best resources in the country when it comes to college admissions test preparation."

Among the program's key offerings, courses will be delivered by The Princeton Review's high-quality instructors and available to students via in-person or LiveOnline classes as well as individually self paced online courses.

Additional details about the program's offerings are currently being finalized and will be announced at a later date.
