WHAT: A family-friendly fundraising event. Run, walk, roll or stroll at your own pace! Visit www.couragecenter.org to register. WHO: Open to participants of all ages and all abilities: individuals, families, sports teams clubs and company groups. WHEN: Saturday, August 1, 2009 Registration begins: 7:30 a.m. 5K begins: 8:30 a.m. WHERE: Start from Courage Center Golden Valley, 3915 Golden Valley Road, and travel a 5K (3.1 mile) course on the beautiful walking/biking trails along scenic Theodore Wirth Parkway in Minneapolis. MORE: Tons of fun for everyone in the 2009 Family Fun Zone: Petting zoos, music, face painting and games galore. Meet some of your favorite Minnesota Twins players. Tours and adaptive sports and recreation demonstrations from the national champion Jr. Rolling Timberwolves basketball team and Courage Center Blizzards power soccer team. Members of the 34th Red Bull Infantry Division currently serving in Iraq will be running a 5K in support of Courage Center. This fundraising event offers great incentives and prizes to groups and individuals who raise at least $25 per person.
