The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America Transforms Website with a New Look and New Technology

CHERRY HILL, N.J., Nov. 27 Visitors to the MultipleSclerosis Association of America (MSAA) website, msassociation.org, may havenoticed some changes. Over the past few months, a new design was unveiled andvarious enhancements were made providing the multiple sclerosis (MS) communitywith the resources and tools they need at their finger tips. With the enhancements made to msassociation.org, MSAA hopes to expand itsreach in the MS community. "Our goal to help more people in more places issubstantially brought closer to reality by this new website technology,"states MSAA President & Chief Executive Officer Doug Franklin. The most common neurological disorder diagnosed in young adults, multiplesclerosis is an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. Thisdisorder damages or destroys the protective covering (known as myelin)surrounding the nerves, causing reduced communication between the brain andnerve pathways. Common symptoms include visual problems, overwhelming fatigue,difficulty with balance and coordination, and various levels of impairedmobility.
