The combination of health assessment, interactive activities and community building allows learning from the provider and from one another. CenteringPregnancy brings 8-12 pregnant women into a group setting and follows the recommended schedule of ten prenatal visits. CenteringParenting provides family centered well-child care for the first two years and follows the Bright Futures™ nationally recognized guidelines.

ACNM is the professional association representing certified nurse-midwives and certified midwives in the U.S. Their members are primary care providers for women throughout the lifespan, with an emphasis on pregnancy, childbirth, and gynecologic and reproductive health. ACNM provides research, administers and promotes continuing education programs, establishes clinical practice standards, and creates liaisons with state and federal agencies and members of Congress to increase the visibility and recognition of midwifery care.
