LOS ANGELES, March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Kahlon is the first executive to join the yoga-themed foundation that teaches classes and lifestyle education to shelters for survivors of domestic violence, and has worked with families and children with developmental and learning challenges for more than a decade. She is founder of Kahlon Family Services, a behavioral and early intervention consulting firm offering yoga to children with special needs such as autism, ADD, sensory integration and anxiety.

Kahlon will also head the foundation's teacher training program, further enhancing the skills of all teachers. The new Private Client Division will provide one-on-one and group yoga therapy sessions for families and children with special needs, as well as for private and charter schools, hospitals and child care facilities, and rehabilitation centers.

"We are proud to have a behaviorist and yogini with Vanessa's background join our team," said Rich Tola, filmmaker and founder of The Boulevard Zen Foundation. "We're committed to changing the lives of children everywhere through the amazing powers of yoga. Vanessa certainly brings the necessary skills and sensitivity to help us do just that," Tola said.

The foundation began teaching in Los Angeles and recently approved teachers in New York City and San Francisco, with plans for Philadelphia and Washington, DC to follow. "With our new Private Client Division, The Boulevard Zen Foundation can truly impact families and local communities as we expand throughout the United States," Tola said. "With a nationwide network of uniquely-trained yoga teachers, we'll be able to offer families and private institutions a confidential and charitable way to employ the right teacher for them," said Tola.

The Boulevard Zen Foundation (www.BoulevardZen.com) is a nonprofit organization founded by Tola upon completion of his film "Boulevard Zen" - a story of one man who touches the lives of many through the practice of yoga.
