NEW YORK, Feb. 2 The Animal Medical Center (AMC) in New York City, the world's largest hospital for companion animals, today launched a dramatically redesigned website (http://www.amcny.org) which embodies its commitment to the growing needs of its clients, the veterinary community and pet owners. The new website is the first of many efforts underway to mark The AMC's Centennial Anniversary this year.
"There is no better time than now to launch a stronger, fresher website," said Kathryn Coyne, AMC's newly appointed Chief Executive Officer. "As the platform of key contact for our clients, the veterinary community and our donors, our new website showcases The AMC's expertise in all categories of veterinary care," adds Coyne. The site's architecture has been redesigned to make it easier to navigate and provides enhanced educational resources addressing important pet health issues to both the veterinary community and pet owners.
The AMC is recognized worldwide for its advanced treatments, research, education, and flagship postgraduate training program. A non-profit, academic institution, The AMC provides comprehensive pet care across twenty-five specialty disciplines - ranging from ophthalmology to hematology; from radiation oncology to avian/exotic pets - and from interventional radiology and endoscopy to rehabilitation therapy.
"The AMC is an iconic NYC institution and a respected veterinary hospital recognized around the world - and our new website reflects that image," said Robert Liberman, Chairman of The AMC Board of Trustees.
