The Advisory Board Company Schedules First Quarter Investor Conference Call for August 5, 2008

WASHINGTON, July 23 The Advisory Board Company(Nasdaq: ABCO) announced today that it will hold an investor conference callhosted by Frank J. Williams, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Robert W.Musslewhite, Executive Vice President, and Michael T. Kirshbaum, ChiefFinancial Officer, to discuss the Company's financial results for the quarterended June 30, 2008. The call will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at6:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The Company plans to release its first quarterfinancial results after the market closes on Tuesday, August 5, 2008.

The ABCO investor conference call will be available via live web cast onthe Company's web site at in the section entitled"The Firm," found under the tab "Investor Relations." To participate bytelephone, the dial-in number is 866.271.0675 and the access code is 94676012.Call participants are advised to dial in at least five minutes prior to thecall to register. The web cast will be archived for seven days: from 8:00p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2008, until 8:00 p.m., Eastern Time, Tuesday, August12, 2008.
