HOUSTON, March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Medical & Sleep Specialists (TMSS) announces that Joshua Rotenberg MD, Tarak Patel MD and Kelly Smith MD have all passed the new national board examinations in sleep medicine. Avie Grunspan MD, an internist and partner with Smith, Rotenberg and Patel, previously passed this advanced certification in 2007.
Seeking higher quality for patients, many insurance companies including Medicare and Medicaid increasingly specify services be delivered by board-certified sleep specialists.

Patel is board certified in pediatrics, pediatric pulmonary medicine and sleep medicine.

Grunspan is board certified in internal medicine and sleep medicine.
