By purchasing the Tanger Cure Card March through December 2008, Tangershoppers not only purchased a gift card that was redeemable at 2,200 brandname outlet stores at 33 Tanger centers nationwide, they also helped battlecancer. Tanger donated 10% of the value of all Tanger Cure Cards sold tofight lung cancer, colorectal cancer and prostate cancer, leading causes ofcancer-related deaths in the United States. The American Lung Association,the Colorectal Cancer Coalition and the Prostate Cancer Foundation eachreceived a $10,000 donation from Tanger.
