Tableau Software and AHIMA to Offer Visual Analytics Software to Healthcare Information Management Students in e-HIM(r) Virtual Lab

SEATTLE, Oct. 6 Tableau Software(http://www.tableausoftware.com), the global leader in fast analytics andvisualization software, and the American Health Information ManagementAssociation (AHIMA) (http://www.ahima.org), the premier association of healthinformation management (HIM) professionals with more than 52,000 members,today announced that Tableau Software will provide its visual data analysissolution for AHIMA's e-HIM(R) Virtual Lab program. As part of an agreementrecognizing Tableau Software as a multi-year AHIMA "platinum partner", theaward-winning Tableau Desktop will be available in the Virtual Lab to help HIMstudents gain hands-on experience with data visualization, analytics andbusiness intelligence software. The e-HIM(R) Virtual Lab program provideseducators and students in campus-based and distance learning colleges anduniversities with single site, virtual access to health information managementtechnologies, through an Internet-based software laboratory.

As part of the partnership, Tableau will also sponsor live and on-demandtraining courses customized for HIM faculty and students. In addition, Tableau will beexhibiting and participating in the 80th AHIMA Annual Convention and ExhibitOctober 13 to 15 in Seattle, WA.
