The nomination period begins on July 9, 2008 and ends at 12:00a.m. (EDT) on August 30, 2008.
Five finalists will be selected and posted on September 5, 2008 atTUMSRacing.com. Following the finalist announcement, America will vote andchoose the Grand Marshall for the TUMS QuikPak 500 at Martinsville Speedway.The nominee who receives the most votes online will win the opportunity tobecome the TUMS QuikPak 500 Grand Marshal. Online fan voting begins September5, 2008 and will conclude on September 12, 2008.
The TUMS QuikPak 500 Grand Marshal will lead the crowd on race day,delivering the, "Drivers, start your engines" race command, attending a hostof pre-race ceremonies, being introduced to the TUMS Racing drivers andwatching the race from the comfort of a catered skybox suite.
"The TUMS QuikPak 500 is all about the fans!" Kale explained. "We areinviting race fans to nominate themselves as well as vote for who they thinkis most deserving of the Grand Marshal responsibilities at the TUMS QuikPak500."
The TUMS QuikPak 500 will be the first stock car race sponsored by theTUMS brand.
