Over 2.5M worldwide skin cancer cases are diagnosed annually at anincreasing rate. Increased exposure to the sun without protection and adecreasing natural ozone layer are cited as the chief causes of this increase-- a global problem!

The SRT 100 system provides an alternative to surgery for treating basalcell and squamous cell carcinomas, especially for primary lesions requiringdifficult or extensive surgery with sensitive structures in the head and neckregions -- the fold in the nose, eyelids, lips, corner of the mouth and thelining of the ear that would otherwise lead to a poor cosmetic outcome. Thistreatment does not require the use of anesthetics and eliminates the need forskin grafting when surgery could result in a less than desirable outcome. Thisprocedure also benefits those patients who have a fear of surgery or a needlephobia, for those patients who have contraindications for reconstructivesurgery that are taking anti-coagulants and blood thinners and for those thatcannot tolerate general anesthesia. This is a pain free procedure withexcellent cosmetic results and a well documented high cure rate. The insuranceindustry including Medicare part B widely accepts this procedure forreimbursement.

John Vano, President of Radiology Oncology Systems, Inc. confirmed, "ROSis very pleased to add the TOPEX SRT 100 to its line of radiation therapyproducts in selected markets.
