Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre has successfully done a T20 heart transplant. A 21 year old engineering student was transplanted with the heart of a 24 year old brain dead engineer on the 29th of last month. The heart was brought from K.G.Hospital, Coimbatore and the Tamilnadu police provided a green corridor from and to airport from hospital at both ends that saved precious minutes. The donor who had worked as an engineer in Singapore had come to Tiruppur for a family function when his car met with an accident on the 27th. His parents’ generosity with organ donation saved a few lives.
