Ms. Somers commented, "Developments in stem cell therapy are the most exciting new breakthrough in medicine. It gives me great peace of mind to know that my own stem cells are carefully and privately housed at a NeoStem storage facility, and will be available to me in the future as development of the many potential therapies utilizing adult stem cells by physicians in the US and around the world progresses. I've learned in my life that being 'reactive' to life's misfortunes, is not as productive as being 'proactive', and that is the path on which I choose to live my life."

Dr. Robin Smith, Chairman and CEO of NeoStem commented, "We are thrilled to have as a spokesperson a health and wellness personality with a following as extensive and devoted as Suzanne's and have noted a remarkable 500% increase in recent phone and e-mail inquiries from individuals interested in learning more about our service." Dr. Smith further noted, "Suzanne's ability to communicate with the general public is an important driver in our mission. Suzanne has the track record, the knowledge, and the celebrity appeal to convey our message, which is the importance of stem cell therapy, and more importantly, the need to have your own stem cells banked while you're healthy."

About NeoStem, Inc.

NeoStem is developing a network of adult stem cell collection centers that are focused on enabling people to donate and store their own (autologous) stem cells when they are young and healthy for their personal use in times for future medical need. The Company has also recently entered into research and development through the acquisition of a worldwide exclusive license to technology to identify and isolate VSELs (very small embryonic-like stem cells), which have been shown to have several physical characteristics that are generally found in embryonic stem cells.

About Stem Cells

A stem cell is essentially a "blank" cell, capable of becoming another more differentiated cell type in the body. Microscopic in size, stem cells are important in medical and science circles because they can be used to replace or even heal damaged tissues and cells in the body. They can serve as a built-in repair system for the human body, replenishing other cells as long as a person is still alive.
