2009 looks promising for Equal Health, the Arlington-based health insurance agency now in its 7th year. One year ago ten sales reps were handling a stagnant customer base, but in the past twelve months the sales force has more than tripled and the number of policy holders has risen 42%.

Some of the major changes include a new client retention team which has already proven effective, an overhaul in website design improving ease of navigation, a new partnership with Frisco, TX-based Careington formed to bolster customer service and product knowledge and the key hirings of sales consultant Jim Tressler and the new Vice President of sales Mal Chandler.
When asked how Equal Health was able to increase its cash flow in 2008, company president Chris Novinger said, "We re-dedicated ourselves to keeping our customers happy and our employees happy; after that things started falling into place a lot easier." CEO Brady Speers adds, "We're fortunate to not only keep our heads above water in these tough times, but also able to find new and effective ways to grow and thrive when faced with adversity."
With the recent success of its newest health insurance policy, the GS-95, Equal Health is already seeing an early first quarter spike in its customer base, which shows promising potential for further growth across the board in 2009.
Equal Health specializes in connecting individuals, families, and businesses with healthcare options beyond traditional insurance plans. With licensed agents across the country, Equal Health has become one of the nation's fastest-growing healthcare agencies by meeting the needs of everyday Americans in a time where traditional health insurance is becoming unaffordable, not providing efficient coverage or denying qualification for deserving individuals.
