Statement by Derma Sciences Regarding Houston Facility

PRINCETON, N.J., Sept. 17 Derma Sciences, Inc.(OTC Bulletin Board: DSCI) said that its Houston manufacturing facility hadsustained only minimal damage and power outage from Hurricane Ike earlier thisweek. Full power was restored yesterday and repairs have been completed. TheCompany expects to resume full operations as soon as the workforce is able tocommute to the location, expected by mid-next week. The Company said it hasbeen in the process of winding down operations in Houston, and transferringmanufacturing of its first-aid products to the Company's facilities in Canada,Mexico and China.
