Southwestern Medical Clinic is a multi-specialty group practice with 53physicians and 13 mid-level providers caring for more than 80,000 patients ineight locations across rural Berrien County, Michigan. Founded in the 1960s,the group emphasizes the integration of medical care and Christian medicalmissions. Its not-for-profit foundation offers scholarships to help medicalstudents and residents experience short term medical mission work around theworld.

The integrated Electronic Health Record and Practice Management solutionfrom Allscripts will link Southwestern Medical Clinic's administrative andclinical functions, enabling the group to be more productive while improvingservice to patients. The Electronic Health Record provides anytime-anywhereaccess to patient records and automates everyday clinical tasks such asprescribing and refilling medications, ordering and reviewing tests, andmanaging patient care according to clinical best practices. The PracticeManagement solution delivers sophisticated scheduling and billing tools thatimprove accuracy, speed reimbursement and enhance patient relations.
