NOVEMBER 17 PERFORMANCE TO BENEFIT THE LUSTGARTEN FOUNDATION FOR PANCREATIC CANCER RESEARCH

BETHPAGE, N.Y., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Vincent Pastore, who portrayed Salvatore "Big P*ssy" Bonpensiero on the Emmy Award winning series, "The Sopranos," is producing and starring in the sold-out show, "Lamp Post Reunion," a play by Louis LaRusso. The play will debut on November 7 at the Arclight Theatre and also stars Frank Pellegrino (Frank Cubitoso), Robert Funaro (Eugene Pontecorvo), Anthony Ribustello (Dante Greco), and Ricky Aiello (Ray-Ray D'Abaldo). Aiello's famed father, Danny, originated the role of Biggie in the 1975 Broadway production. Frank Licato directs the play.

Pastore has designated the November 17 show a fundraiser for The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. A star-studded audience will enjoy the show, while helping to raise needed funds for research. Scheduled to attend are Bernadette Peters, NBC News correspondent Jenna Wolfe, actors Scott Cohen and Danny Aiello. Tickets are still available.

Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of all cancer deaths in the United States and the third leading cause of cancer deaths in individuals ages 40 to 60. Approximately 37,000 Americans are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer each year, and, each year, approximately the same number die from it. Often, pancreatic cancer is found too late for surgical intervention, and chemotherapy and radiation treatments have little effect.
