The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) is a not-for-profit organizationdevoted to the formulation of early diagnostic treatment programs and researchtowards the ultimate conquest of ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death from gynecologic cancers inthe United States. The American Cancer Society estimates that 21,650 womenwill be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2008 in the U.S. and about 15,520women will die of the disease. Ovarian cancer is an insidious disease thatoften strikes without warning and without cause. Currently there is noeffective screening test for ovarian cancer.
