WHAT: Cabot Creamery is sponsoring a free, one-day soccer clinic withOlympic Gold Medalist and World Cup champion Julie Foudy and her husband IanSawyers, the coach and general manager of the brand new NY/NJ professionalwomen's soccer team, Sky Blue Soccer, for 100 New York City middle schoolsoccer and physical education teachers. The clinic includes hands-on,live-action tips on coaching soccer combined with messages of exercise,leadership and healthy nutrition to be utilized by coaches and physicaleducation teachers working with middle school students. In addition to theGold Medal Soccer Clinic, one lucky school will win a follow-up visit by JulieFoudy to work with the students on soccer drills, health and nutrition.

WHY: Cabot Creamery has long led the charge in educating students andparents about the benefits of healthy eating and exercise. Withthree-out-of-four teens affected by the calcium and obesity crisis, now is theperfect time for Cabot to sponsor a program like the Gold Medal Soccer CoachClinic that is aimed at teaching educators proven strategies for getting theirstudents involved in exercise and healthy eating. This one-day clinic isdesigned to highlight the combined importance of soccer skills and propernutrition to clinic participants in advance of the expansion of C.H.A.M.P.Ssoccer programs in NYC Middle Schools this fall.

WHO: Julie Foudy and her husband Ian Sawyers conduct hands-on trainingclinic with 100 NYC coaches and physical education teachers from NY CityMiddle Schools.
