CAMPBELL, Calif., Dec. 1 Last month on a prominent nationally syndicated radio show, Dr. Rafael Pelayo, Associate Professor at the Stanford Sleep Disorders Clinic at Stanford University School of Medicine, recommended the Ecotones Duet Sleep Sound Machine as part of a healthy sleep plan for people trying to achieve a better night's sleep with minimal use of drugs.

"Background noise is a problem for people when they are sleeping," said Dr. Pelayo. "There are a lot of 'dumb' sound machines out there that just play constant noise in an attempt to cover up these disruptions. The new Ecotones Duet from Adaptive Sound Technologies, Inc. (ASTI) responds to sudden background disturbances by adjusting its sound output to better mask the noise. For some people, the improved sound masking seems to help them sleep better."

The Ecotones Duet's patented Adaptive Sound Technology(TM) adjusts volume and dynamically mixes complementary sounds into the main sound track in response to background disturbances. This ensures a continuously relaxing environment regardless of the surrounding noise. The Ecotones Duet's high quality sound recordings create the most realistic and natural sounding environment that minimizes sleep disruptions. As intrusive noises subside, the Ecotones Duet gradually and automatically returns to normal levels. A demo of Adaptive Sound Technology is available on the web at http://www.ecotones.com/sound-demo.php

Priced at an MSRP of $149.95 and backed by a 30-day, money-back guarantee, the Ecotones Duet is an affordable solution for people looking to sleep more soundly at night. For more information about the Ecotones Duet or to purchase, visit www.ecotones.com.
