As part of the initiative, National Jewish will integrate Siemenstechnology throughout the institution to help diagnose respiratory, cardiacand rheumatologic diseases. Especially important will be the Institute forAdvanced Biomedical Imaging(TM), where much of the patient care andcollaborative research planned for this alliance will be conducted.

This will be achieved byintegrating the facility's research and clinical efforts at the point of thepatient, so that each patient can take advantage of the latest technologicalinnovations.
The Institute for Advanced Biomedical Imaging, scheduled to open thisspring, will house two Siemens computed tomography (CT) systems and onepositron emission tomography-CT (PET-CT) system, replacing the hospital's CTscanner currently in place. Key to the long-term development of this vision isan integrated radiology information system (RIS) and picture archivecommunication system (PACS) solution that uses the same syngo(R) architectureas the imaging modalities leading to data reconciliation and consistency.
