Siemens Names Judith Marks Head of New U.S. Federal Business

WASHINGTON, May 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Siemens Corporation today announced it has appointed Judith (Judy) Marks head of a newly-formed U.S. business unit designed to provide a more comprehensive portfolio of solutions to the federal government from across its Energy, Industry, Healthcare and the future Infrastructure & Cities sectors.

Marks is leading the creation of the new organization and building a team of people who have expertise in all areas of federal business, particularly account management and business development.  She reports to Daryl Dulaney, president and CEO, Siemens Industry, Inc. and is currently based in Siemens new U.S. headquarters in Washington, DC.

Marks comes to Siemens from Lockheed Martin, where she most recently served as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for the company's Electronic Systems Business Area.  In this role, she was responsible for the strategy, planning, customer relations, and new business capture.  Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Marks spent the first ten years of her career at IBM Federal Systems Company, which was then acquired by the Loral Corporation.  After two years with the Loral Corporation, Loral was acquired by Lockheed Martin.  In total, she served 27 years with Lockheed Martin and its predecessor companies.  Her experience spans multiple disciplines including positions in systems engineering, engineering management, business development, capture management, subcontract management, program management and executive management.

Originally from Philadelphia, Marks earned her BS in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University. She currently lives in Potomac, MD, with her husband and daughter.
