Shenandoah Life Announces Enhanced DentaStar Dental Plan

ROANOKE, Va., June 26 Shenandoah Life Insurance Companyhas enhanced its DentaStar dental product to allow up to two periodontalmaintenance procedures and two cleanings per year.

Preventive dental care is an important wellness benefit for employees andtheir families. Recent studies show that poor oral care can lead to toothdecay and gum disease. In fact, the National Institute of Dental andCraniofacial Research found that nearly 80 percent of Americans have some formof periodontal disease. Employers can offer DentaStar as an integrated part of their benefits planor on a strictly voluntary basis. In addition to its enhanced dental plan,Shenandoah Life offers a full line of group insurance products includingvision, life, and long term and short term disability. Products are availableto employers of all sizes, from two lives plus.
