Sharp HealthCare Selects MEDai's Pinpoint Review to Prevent Readmissions

- Baldridge Award Winner Builds on Results of Pinpoint Quality(R)/Pinpoint Compliance(R)

The solution is designed to alert providers topatients at risk for developing hospital acquired conditions or at risk forreadmission.

Sharp will use Pinpoint Review to support quality improvement and TheSharp Experience, a sweeping performance improvement initiative launched in2001. Pinpoint Review will provide Sharp with near-time triggers for coremeasures, hospital/system-wide surveillance of safety risks, physicianperformance reporting and forecasts of readmissions.

For the past nine years, Sharp has relied on MEDai's Pinpoint Quality toreduce urinary tract infection rates, reduce blood utilization, and monitorquality outcomes across diseases. MEDai's solutions also assisted Sharp inbeing recognized with the coveted Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award in2007.
