Quaglia was interested in the challenge as a way to re-gain his health, become more active and prepare for a planned trip to climb Mt. Rainier this June. Now 53 pounds lighter, he's more fit than ever before -- even when he used to run marathons -- and now he's up for the challenge to climb the 14,411 foot mountain with his brother-in-law.

The two contestants who lost the second and third most weight based on percentage of body weight lost also won prizes, $1,000 cash and 5 weeks of Seattle Sutton's Healthy Eating 1,200-calorie plan meals respectively.

The first place winner is Tim Gallivan from Aurora, Ill., he lost a total of 22.8 percent of body weight and dropped 69 pounds. Gallivan, an avid fisherman, is excited about now being able to enjoy the activity he loves without getting winded. He's also looking forward to spending many more healthy and active years with his wife, Therese, who's been his biggest supporter through this life-changing journey.

The second place winner is Linda Russell from Palatine, Ill., she lost a total of 21.29 percent of body weight and 33 pounds. Russell is an active, vivacious 50-year old who loves playing with her grandchildren. She's not your typical sit on a chair grandma, she gets right down on the floor and plays with them. Russell said it's much easier now without carrying extra weight.

ACL Labs measured contestants' fasting glucose (blood sugar), cholesterol and triglycerides at the beginning of the contest and at the conclusion to measure their improvement of health. Blood pressure was also recorded at the beginning and end of the contest. Contestants were also closely monitored each week and they weighed-in at their distributor locations when they picked up their SSHE meals.

In addition to weight loss, their lab work and blood pressure saw significant improvements during the 14 weeks. Quaglia's blood pressure and glucose dropped, his cholesterol was lowered from 247 to 190 and his triglycerides dropped from 142 to 59.

Gallivan also lowered his blood pressure and glucose, his cholesterol went from 183 to 128 and his triglycerides dropped from 203 to 63.

Russell dropped her cholesterol, her blood pressure went from 165/107 to 125/78 and her triglycerides dropped from 231 to 80.
