Scient'x Launches Tribeca(TM) TLIF Cage System

MAITLAND, Fla., Sept. 19 Scient'x, a privately heldmanufacturer of innovative spinal implant technologies, announced today thelaunch of the Tribeca(TM) Cage System which allows the surgeon to utilize aunilateral transforaminal approach to interbody cage insertion to minimizedural exposure.

The Scient'x Tribeca(TM) Cage implants are indicated for use withautogenous bone graft as an intervertebral body fusion device at either one ortwo contiguous levels in the lumbosacral spine, from L2 to S1, for thetreatment of Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) with up to Grade Ispondylolisthesis. DDD is defined as back pain of discogenic origin withdegeneration of the disc confirmed by history and radiographic studies. TheTribeca(TM) Cage is to be used in skeletally mature patients who have had sixmonths of non-operative care. The Tribeca(TM) Cage is implanted using ananterior approach or posterior approach and is intended to be used single orin pairs with ISOBAR 6.2mm Hemispherical Screws with Offset Clamps and 5.5mmRods. The implant design features PEEK OPTIMA material with gold marker wireto aid in visualization of implant placement on radiographs. The convex designand open graft areas allow graft vascularization and the bulleted tip provideseasy insertion.
