Samplify's Prism(TM) real-time signal compression embedded in the SAM1600family devices delivers high value for ultrasound systems and multi-antenna,direct-conversion WiMax base stations. The SAM1600 family provides twice thechannel density and half the power of existing solutions without sacrificinganalog performance for ultrasound front-ends. SAM1600 members also are wellsuited for digital repeaters and fourth generation (4G) wireless base stationsusing smart antenna or MIMO (multiple-in-multiple-out) technology. 4Gwireless systems can take advantage of the cost savings of direct-conversionradio architectures enabled by these devices. SAM1600 enables wireless OEMsto send increased amounts of baseband data over the same fiber-opticinfrastructure already in place for 3G systems.
