SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 11 Samplify Systems, Inc., areal-time compression technology company, today announced the availability ofSamplify for Windows Release 2.6 and Samplify for Windows, Embedded Edition. The Embedded Edition provides the same compression and decompression engine asthe proven Samplify for Windows application, but supporting end userapplication development through an applications programming interface (API).

"Many of our customers in the defense and medical imaging markets want tomaximize the benefits of compression on their signal chain by compressingtheir signals in FPGA and preserving them in the compressed domain until justprior to signal processing in software," said Al Wegener, Samplify founder andCTO. "With Samplify for Windows, Embedded Edition, we can now give ourcustomers the ability to integrate signal decompression into their signalanalysis software. Release 2.6 of Samplify for Windows provides auser-friendly GUI around the Prism software compression engine with numerousenhancements to enable system architects to test its various compression modeson their own signals and be guaranteed that they will achieve the exact sameresults in hardware with Samplify for FPGA, or in the standalone EmbeddedEdition software engine."

"For the RF spectrum analyzer recording systems we develop, Samplify hasthe only compression technology which can operate at over 100 megasamples persecond in an FPGA to expand our systems' storage capacity," said Todd Smith,CEO of Reston, VA-based X-COM Systems. "And with Samplify for Windows,Embedded Edition integrated into our RF signal analysis software,WaveCAFE(TM), we can now enable our customers to analyze, filter, and exporttheir captured data directly from compressed form."

RF spectrum recorders are used in intelligence gathering applications tocapture signals of interest off the air for later analysis. As the range offrequencies and bandwidths increase, the storage requirements increaseexponentially, stressing both the throughput and capacity of hard drive arraysor solid state memory. Samplify's Prism(TM) signal compression technologylosslessly compresses captured signal data in real-time, at up to gigasampleper second rates alleviating these bottlenecks.

Samplify for Windows, Embedded Edition is available immediately fromSamplify. Pricing starts at $25,000 for a quad-core CPU. Samplify forWindows, Embedded Edition is complementary to OEMs who integrate Samplify forFPGA into their systems. Samplify for Windows Release 2.6 is available fordownload at http://www.samplify.com/windows.php. Samplify for Windows may beevaluated for free for the first 30 days, after which it may be purchased for$995.

About Samplify Systems:

Samplify Systems, Inc., a Silicon Valley startup, provides the onlyreal-time compression algorithm for high speed sampled data systems.Delivering simply the bits that matter(TM), Samplify's Prism(TM) compressionalgorithm provides a cost-effective alternative to brute force hardwareapproaches to transport and store data within systems. Samplify targetsreal-time embedded applications in the medical, defense, communications, andindustrial markets. Samplify's Prism(TM) algorithm is available in netlistform for leading FPGA families, and as a Windows software application.Samplify Systems is a privately held company based in Silicon Valley, withfunding from Charles River Ventures and Formative Ventures.

About X-COM Systems:

X-COM has developed an integrated, wide bandwidth RF record and playbacksystem that significantly increases the capability of real-time spectrumanalyzers used in the defense industry. For over a decade, X-COM has beenengineering and developing innovative hardware and software products andsolutions for DoD agencies and systems integrators
