ROCKVILLE, Md., April 8 STB Lifesaving TechnologiesŪ announced today major infusions of talent with the hiring of Sandy Wassink as Vice President for Manufacturing and Victor Block as Chief Financial Officer.

"As we transition from an R&D stage initiative through the tech transfer and FDA approval process towards a commercial business, we knew we'd bolster our team' expertise,'" said STB Lifesaving TechnologiesŪ President, Ron Peele. "The addition of both Sandy and Victor is a bold reflection of the energy and commitment of STBŪ and its investors to commercialize our Fibrin Adhesive Stat (FASTŪ) Dressing.

Sandy Wassink brings over 25 years of experience in development and manufacturing of pharmaceutical and biotech products. She has directed product design and process development, technical services, and manufacturing in both small early stage start up and large pharmaceutical companies such as MiddleBrook Pharmaceuticals and Shire.
"I am very excited about joining STBŪ. The story of this FASTŪ Dressing to stop serious bleeding is compelling and drew me to the company. I see this as perfect fit with my background in emerging start up companies and working with contract manufacturers," said Wassink.
Mr. Block joins STBŪ most recently from Revolution Health, where as VP Finance he worked with Mr. Peele and built the financial, planning and reporting systems that helped manage its growth from a start up to growth stage company.
Prior to Revolution Health he held finance and operational positions with Freddie Mac, WordWave and two successful start-ups. He started his career as a staffer with the U.S. Senate Budget Committee.
"Victor and I worked together for five years, and I have complete trust in his skill at managing the daily challenges of building a business," said Peele.
